Without computers, the world as we know it would be a very different (and much more inconvenient) place. It follows, then, that this means that being a programmer is a pretty significant role, even when the projects that they find themselves working on don’t seem especially groundbreaking. One of the first lessons new coders learn is that the tiniest mistakes can cause the biggest errors, but the reverse can also be true: small tweaks or updates can dramatically improve how a program performs and how users experience it.
Because of this, coding can prove to be an emotional journey even on the most pedestrian of workdays. Programmers must have patience and determination to complete their tasks in a way that works for everyone. Programming memes capture this perfectly, giving voice to the many highs and lows shared by anyone fluent in a coding language or several. They are funnier about it, though.
