This time of year is a perfect one for nostalgia. The holidays are an essentially nostalgic time. Being around our family reminds us of what we were like when we were little and how much fun we used to have back then. We’re still having fun now, but it’s good to look back and remember. Something about Christmas music, holiday shopping, and decorating a Christmas tree makes you feel like you’re a kid again. It’s just something in the air this time of year. So it’s only natural that we would want to lean into this feeling. We want to dive feet first into the pool of nostalgia, and nothing is going to stop us. There are a few ways we can do this. 

Maybe we take out our old yearbooks and baby photos and look through them, soaking up the memories. Maybe we try on the old clothes that we kept from high school because we thought they might be valuable one day. Or maybe we scroll through memes. Memes don’t require anything out of us that we’re not willing to give. They will instantly transport us back to that time in our lives without any action at all.
