Few people are less popular than the workplace busybody.

Most of the time, none of their coworkers enjoy their company because they feel like they are always mere seconds away from being snitched on, and more often than not, it is over something inconsequential and not a legitimate grievance. It is often the case that management isn’t fond of them either, as they have a tendency to take focus away from the important stuff in the name of being the office cop that nobody asked for.

While they may not always have many friends, becoming the focus of this type of individual at work can be a truly miserable experience. Your colleagues are often a big part of how bearable a job is, and somebody such as this is on a one-person mission to make sure that you do not find any peace of mind in the workplace whatsoever. It may be true that they are doing this because they have nothing else going on in their lives, or because they are annoyed at their own lack of professional success, but it isn’t exactly a comfort. If only they had the good sense to focus on their own work and leave everyone else alone.
