Moreso than many other professions, it totally makes sense that programmers are so good at making memes about their work. 

When you spend endless hours grafting away in an attempt to get all this technology that we rely on to actually function, you’re probably going to want to have a little fun with it. Turning that frustration into humor is an inevitable part of the process. Memes are a coping mechanism for every single piece of code that keeps throwing up errors, no matter what you do, as you struggle to remind yourself that this is the kind of work that you enjoy. It is a predicament that people face in almost every job or hobby, but that does not make it any less demoralizing when times get difficult. It really underlines the importance of having a sense of humor about it.

Another nice thing about coding memes is that they give non-coders a way to kind of understand what programmers deal with, even if they don’t get all of the technical stuff.
