If you’re ever in a bad mood, the enchanting escapism of Middle-earth is only moments away, and if you’re in a good mood, it is there to keep the happy vibes going (apart from when Boromir says his final goodbye, and a few other tearjerking points). Also, there is a whole industry out there dedicated to giving you more from the collected works of J.R.R. Tolkien and those who were inspired by him. Nothing beats the classics, but it is nice to have options.

Just a few days ago, Peter Jackson himself claimed that he was eager to make even more movies with the material that has yet to get the film treatment. Whether they will clear all the hurdles and actually materialize is another thing, but it is nice to hold onto the hope that there is more new stuff to look forward to.

One area of LOTR fandom where nobody needs to wait around for the newness to arrive is the booming genre that is Tolkien-related memes. Lovers of all things Middle-earth are forever coming up with new and amusing ways to spin the most memorable of storylines and beloved characters. They even touch on the B-plots and less popular appearances. For anyone who inhales pretty much everything to do with the world of LOTR, it is an absolute dream. It is also very funny, for both more casual fans and for dedicated obsessives.
