Would you wear an outfit that a child picked out for you?

Children love to pick out outfits. I don’t know about you, but when I was a child, one of my favorite things to do was rifling through my mother’s closet and picking out stuff for her to wear. I thought it was the most fun thing to do in the world. Adult clothes seemed so glamorous and interesting, and I wanted to play in them all day. And this is a great way for parents to bond with their kids. It’s fun to play dress up, and it’s fun to lean into it even when you’re an adult. It’s a good way to get into the flow state of play with your kids and create memories that will last forever. Kids also love to dress themselves in outrageous outfits. I remember there was a phase of my life where I wanted to wear my Cinderella Halloween costume every single day. I didn’t wanna wear anything else, because I thought it was the most beautiful thing in the world. And we should allow kids some leeway to express themselves through clothing, even when it doesn’t look polished to the rest of us. They’re kids after all, and it doesn’t matter what they look like, as long as they’re having fun.
