We shouldn’t admit this so openly, but recently a couple of villain speeches (that come at a completely illogical moment in the movie, by the way) are starting to sound like…they make a lot of sense? Maybe it’s the villainy aura we carry around, usually on Monday mornings, but Home Alone intruders are starting to feel like the real victims here. Was it really necessary to throw a hot iron on that man’s face? On second thought, they WERE trying to rob the place, so…maybe. Maybe we should be questioning if the fact that we LOLed when we saw that scene for the first time (and continue to do so every time) is the actual thing we should be worried about. 

Maybe it’s the upcoming Spooky Season getting closer and closer, or the chilly breeze finally starting to show up, or the dark and twisted spirits in our heads trying to manifest by making the most of our coffee-less selves, or maybe we are just hangry. Whatever the reason, at some point, we started to feel less like Batmen and a lot more like Jokers. Hey, who knows, maybe Hocus Pocus Witches were really just misunderstood adults with a very colourful sense of styling. Admit it, we’ve all tried to make our vacuum cleaner take flight, the money we could save on public transport…call that a dream.
