Festival turns Indiana homeowner’s lawn into a $10 parking lot and says the money’s already allocated to community programs when he demands damage repairs: ‘[They] said the festival is a nonprofit fundraiser’

A festival discovers an empty lawn and immediately sees a business opportunity, which is an exciting way to spend someone else’s Saturday.

Add a folding table, orange vests, and a handwritten sign, and the whole operation acquires the confidence of an airport parking concession. Apparently, the hardest part of running a fundraiser is finding a homeowner who stays out of town long enough for the volunteers to get comfortable.
