We never thought it would actually happen, and we didn’t even know we wanted it, but the Glee reboot is officially happening, and Gleeks all over the world are loud in their cheers.

As someone who has been around the Glee fandom since 2009, I think I am qualified to say that a Glee reboot was something Gleeks were very scared of. Who can blame us? We Gleeks have been through a lot, and this fandom has somehow never managed to get down from the show’s emotional roller coaster in 17 years. We’ve had record-breaking musical numbers, insane storylines, countless celebrity cancellations, and one big curse. We have seen it all. And now that Ryan Murphy is telling us there’s more to see, I’m sure no one is ready for what’s in store.

Since the show has definitely welcomed new fans in the past few years, we’ve all been toying around with what a reboot might look like. What hit songs would they cover? What musical would they pay tribute to? And most importantly, which of the beloved original cast would agree to return to the Glee club’s choir room?

These are all questions none of us have an answer to, so while we wait for more updates, we can only be reminded of why the show made it into our hearts in the first place. The songs, the jokes, the characters, and the devotion all got us to jump in our living rooms and sing to whatever cover the Glee club decided to master that week.
