I find the humble apple to be a very satisfying fruit. You have to pick the right kind (Golden Delicious, get away from me with your lies), but so long as you do you get a portable, healthy, and tasty snack with no annoying peeling to be done. They are also an S-tier ingredient, giving the necessary textural variation to a fruit salad and creating deliciously sweet pies. What’s not to love?
