Who else is ready to turn off the computer and leave work without a second thought? 

At this point, we might as well just show up to work wearing flip-flops and a Hawaiian shirt. Well, not now that autumn is starting. If we did, we would freeze, but we can save the idea for next summer. Now, we could just go in with some fuzzy slippers and an oversized cozy sweater. What’s HR going to do? Write us up? It’s Friday, and we’re keeping it casual. We’re overworked, we want to leave the office, and we couldn’t care less about what happens after 4:59. 

Offices should definitely implement casual Fridays more often, and better yet, make it a casual week. Unless you work at a law firm and need to have contact with important clients, I don’t see why anyone should show up in a full suit to the office. It’s not a wedding; please chill out. As long as the work gets done and those Excel spreadsheets are filled, what does it matter if we show up in jeans? Don’t worry, we’re not really showing up in flip-flops and Hawaiian shirts; we’re not dumb. That is, unless we’re having a themed party; in that case, we’re showing up to dance the hula hula in full costume. Otherwise, we can just find a middle ground between restrictive clothing and a beach outfit. Especially because it’s too late in the season to go to the beach now… 

Anyway, Friday is here, and we’ve been ready for it for at least three days, so we might as well just make the most of it and be happy! Let’s get out of work, change into more comfortable clothes, and don’t let any work calls distract you from the most important thing: relaxing and watching memes!
