All carbs are different types of beautiful, but when it comes to comfort food, you really can’t beat a plate of your favorite pasta. Whereas it is not that hard to make bread, rice, or potatoes seem a little restrained (not that their best versions ever are), pasta always seems a little indulgent, even when it is being served up in a recipe you would rather pass on. It’s got that pizzazz.

While nothing can beat the experience of inhaling it, looking at stupid humor related to it has to come in a close second. Some of the jokes might not please the Italians, but that’s OK. They can keep cooking up the iconic recipes, and the rest of the world can take on the task of making memes about them.
