To say I’m an avid Spotify user would be the understatement of the year. I’m addicted to Spotify. It’s my lifeblood, my reason for waking, the archive of my existence on this earth. I started using it as a starry-eyed 12-year-old and haven’t looked back for more than a decade. I have a playlist for every month since 2015, niche emotions, occasions, and bygone seasons of life. It’s more of a musical diary than anything else. 

If the app were to one day crash and erase itself like a Phoenix setting itself ablaze, I would enter an interminable grief state. It, in many ways, is my life’s work. These Spotify memes would be the only thing left to comfort me. Or maybe they’d just painfully remind me of the glory days. Apple music users need not apply.
