20+ Twitter Reactions to Monday Night’s Painful ‘Bachelor’ Finale

It seems that Bachelor Nation is a collective of gluttons for punishment. Because every year we find ourselves asking why we put ourselves through the agony of watching some loser manipulate and hurt women, while pretending to be torn up about it. «I didn’t know it was going to be like this» is a pretty invalid statement when you literally signed up to be on a show that has been popular for 27 seasons.

Anyway, you can see where this is going. The season’s final episode begins with a chat with Ariel, who parted ways with Zach in the last episode. After explaining her feelings of betrayal to the show’s host, Jesse Palmer, she uses her poise and vocabulary to make a point with her «ex.» The fan-favorite garnered loads of Twitter support. While Bachelor in Paradise wasn’t mentioned, we’re still hoping to see her bring that energy to the beaches of Sayulita, Mexico.

While we see both Gabi and Kaity meet Zach’s family, and though they both impress the family, it is clear that Gabi has doubts about her relationship with Zach. Her need for validation, which has come up at times throughout the season, comes out in a big way. We can’t blame her after Zach During the final dates, both women express their love for Zach, but it becomes clear that he is wrestling with stronger feelings for Kaity.

During the proposal, Zach does a fake-out that initially devastates Kaity before he finally proposes to her. They end up engaged, and Jesse Palmer interviews them in the studio, where they discuss their future plans. The episode ends with a preview of the upcoming season of «The Bachelorette,» featuring Charity, who is surprised by her brother’s appearance as a contestant. It was a tumultuous episode to say the least, and the reactions on Twitter reflect that.
