Whenever people ask me why I still use Tumblr, I am never really sure how I should answer that question. I mean, I genuinely love Tumblr and I feel at home there, more than I do in any other social media platform. But how can one explain what is so special about it, without sounding like they have a very weird relationship with the internet, and with all their hobbies and interests?

Tumblr is this bizarre wormhole for the people who cannot simply enjoy something and leave it at that. I always loved to describe myself as a person who consumes something to the very last drop. I never just watch a movie and decide that I liked it; I have to know everything about it, I have to learn who all the actors are, I have to watch behind-the-scenes and interviews, I have to read fanfiction, and I have to become part of the fandom.

Which is why I think Tumblr is the perfect platform for people like me.
