What would your Type B friend do?
Gen Z has come up with a proper term for those who seem to lose their keys once a day, leave their wallet at home every time they go out, and always finish their tasks at the last minute. ‘Type B’ people are the kind of people who will pack for their 1-month Euro trip an hour before the plane leaves. They will lose their belongings and not even worry about it, because they have lost and found them so many times that they know it will eventually appear again. Unpredictability is part of their everyday life; you can never really know what your Type B friend is up to. They might be stuck in the middle of the road with no signal or gas, but best believe they will figure it out, because that is Type B people’s greatest gift: tools to figure it out. When you lack organizational skills, you compensate with an extremely chill attitude towards any possible disaster, and incredible problem-solving skills.
As a former Type B person, I guarantee my friends and family struggle more than I do when seeing the way I walk through life. Every time we travel, my mom is on the verge of a heart attack, but I keep telling her, ‘Mom, no worries, I promise the passport will somehow be somewhere around the room’. And let me tell you, it always is! Is it a little risqué? Well, a little bit, but life is more fun that way! And it truly teaches you not to care too much about stuff. No attachment issues with clothes or objects; everything comes and eventually goes! I know a lot of parents would not be happy reading this. Sorry folks, I promise everything will be alright!
