Can you recall the happiest day of your life? For some, the answer is simple—their wedding day or the day their child was born—but for others it’s tough to pinpoint one exact day. Perhaps this indecision in deciding what is the best day of your life means you’ve had a happy one, or at least a handful of truly wonderful and memorable joyous moments.

For me, my happiest day in recent memory was a few weeks ago. Fluffy socks on after a warm jacuzzi, showered and chilled on my bed, I ate my favorite dinner with my husband and watched the season finale of our latest show. A quiet night in may not seem like much but to me, the simpler times are my favorite. When the heartbeats mark the peaceful silence as the sun sets into the ocean, that’s a happy moment. Or when a baby (or pet) falls asleep in your arms. Or when the leaves on the plant you’ve been propagating start to perk up again after a long drought.
