Is it hot in here or is it just these memes?

It’s the thick of summer, and we’re over here sliding right out of our seats because it’s too darn hot. There isn’t much you can do when it’s too hot outside. You can turn up the AC, stay inside, and stay out of the blaring heat. Doing anything much more than that can be a strain on the system, and you don’t want to strain your system. It’s summer, after all, and you want to fully unwind. Passing out in the heat is not on your bingo card. You may think of July as the time to be outside. Maybe you’re rushing off to the beach, meeting friends for drinks on somebody’s patio, or engaging in some summer sports. And this is all well and good, but there is also plenty of reason to stay inside during these months. After all, we pay so much to have air-conditioning; we might as well use it. And if you’re on the East Coast, this summer, or really anywhere, you know that the weather can be wildly unpredictable, and sometimes a little unbearable.
