The comments section is the unsung hero of the internet. It’s what separates watching a YouTube video from watching regular TV. Sometimes if I’m watching something on Netflix I’ll get frustrated that I can’t scroll down and see what my fellow watchers are saying about it. Finding a comment that says what you were thinking… it scratches an itch deep in your soul. Like the Greek chorus of yore, the comment section speaks for the audience, giving us a respite and making us feel seen. 

These comments, though, are less rational insights and more pot-shots from the back of the room. If we think of a post as a stand-up comedian’s joke, then these comments are hecklers who have had a little too much to drink. But (rare with real hecklers) they’re funnier than the comedian. So sit back, scroll, and watch some of the wildest comments on the internet roll in.
