Joining a gym is a wonderful first step on the fitness journey. You can work out at home all you want (and you should, yoga at home is one of life’s greatest pleasures), but once you have a paid commitment every month, then you’re really getting serious.
gSomething about spending money is more likely to get us to actually commit. At least it makes us think we’re going to. This doesn’t always work, though. Remember when you bought that juicer because you swore you’d drink fresh celery juice every morning? Odds are it’s probably collecting dust in the back of your pantry now. Remember when you bought those expensive yoga pants because you thought they might inspire you to work out? I’ll bet that the last time you wore them was probably to Target. Or that time you paid for a year’s membership at Crunch claiming it would pay for itself in a matter of months.
