There are a few foods that I’ll cheap out on, but when it comes to my morning cup of coffee, I spare no expense or inconvenience to make the perfect cup. With a $25 bag of beans, my V60 percolator, and my precision pour-over kettle, I’ve managed to scientifically render the most delicious (and consistent) cup of coffee every morning. Why do I do this? Because it’s sometimes the best part of my day.
Frequently, humans forget the little things that make us smile. Perpetually chasing macro goals or our next big promotion at work, we forget to take a look at our lives from a micro perspective. On a daily basis, we encounter some of life’s brilliant moments but oftentimes, people forget to actually see the beauty. Every day, there’s a sunrise and an opportunity to face the day with a positive vibe and a good attitude, and while every person has their bad days, don’t forget to fixate on the delightful parts—even if it’s a perfect cup of coffee or just some wholesome memes.
