LinkedIn is my nightmare social media. It’s full of all the people I knew from high school and college who work for investment banks and want me to congratulate them on their promotion. It feels so phony– like everyone is putting on their work face and pretending they aren’t fun. I get you have to put on a corporate face sometimes, but LinkedIn feels like a clown parade. 

But it’s also where you get the best updates on what people you’ve fallen out of touch with have done with their lives. You get to sneakily see where they work, where they live, and how they’re trying to market themselves. It’s the best gossip. But this list is like second-hand gossip about people you don’t know… in the best way. It’s the best of LinkedIn without actually having to be on LinkedIn. The work that we do for you is so important.
