Some people thrive on being busy. If their schedules are not packed, then they fall to pieces. They need to cram so many events into a singular day or else their brains will self-destruct. Some people will crumble under unstructured free time. Their indecision will drive them mad when faced with an afternoon of nothingness. Tasks unfold one after the other, but with no shape to the day, they just won’t get done.
This is where the saying «If you want something done, give it to a busy person» comes into play. They’ll just squeeze it into their half-hour lunch break instead of spending all day thinking about doing it and then getting so caught up in a 30 Rock marathon that they never actually do it. But if that sounds like you, you still need some rest time, even if that means scheduling it out a week in advance.
