It’s finally September. 

You did it. You made it through August. It may not have been easy, but here you are. You sweated your limbs off in the humidity; now you’re praying for a bit of studious air. You want to buy a new notebook and change your life because of it. This is what happens to me every fall. It’s a leftover feeling from being a kid and buying back-to-school supplies around this time of year. There was so much hope and optimism involved in that feeling. Just because we might not be going back to school doesn’t mean that we can’t bring that energy to our regular lives. We can bring whatever energy we’d like to the start of fall. You can buy a new notebook and pens just because. You can put on that jacket you’ve been excited to wear, but it’s been too hot. Even if it’s still too hot. Because let’s face it, the weather doesn’t always cooperate with our desires. But we can bring that fresh energy to the start of the new season if we so choose.
