True gamers know no «gaming break.» No, to a true gamer, life is a break from gaming. You have to look up from your gaming life to go to work, so you can make money to buy more games. This isn’t a depressing outlook on life, it’s an empowering one. People look down on gamers, but they don’t look down on readers. You can spend an entire day reading a book and nobody bats an eye. But put 3000 hours into Half-Life 2, and everyone loses their minds. 

Gaming can be just as enriching of an experience if you approach it the right way. You can immerse yourself in a world of fiction, and learn its rules and its quirks. You can hone your hand-eye coordination, sharpen your decision-making skills, and even make some money doing it. Nobody watches people read books on Twitch. There is a multi-million dollar game streaming industry on it, though.
