We all have the game that made us fall in love with gaming. For me, it was Super Money Ball. I had my little pink GameBoy and I could spend so long wheeling those monkeys around across a multi-colored universe. It was sort of like Mario Kart but with monkeys, and that was enough for me. I loved picking out which monkey I’d play as, trying over and over again to beat a certain level, and not having to talk to anyone or do homework. 

Now that I think of it, that was where a lot of the appeal was held. It was an escape from responsibilities (whatever responsibilities I had when I was 8 years old). But it was a chance to have quality time by myself, something that’s harder and harder to come by as an adult. But luckily we’ve got memes to remind us of where we came from.
