Happy belated Father’s Day, dads. And isn’t that just the way that you’re usually celebrated? A day (or a few) late and a dollar short? Kids aren’t the best at celebrating their parents. We can be a pretty self-absorbed species. Our parents do so much for us and we’re not always the best at returning the favor. But isn’t that the bargain you make when you have a child? If you’re doing it for the fame, fortune, and adulation, you’ve been grossly misled. You become a parent for the love of the game. Any praise you get is just the cherry on top.
That said, I hope you had a fulfilling and fun Father’s Day. I hope you grilled some meat and watched some baseball, or whatever it is that dads like to do. It only comes once a year so we should celebrate it to the fullest every time.
