The future is impossible to know, that’s what makes it the future. If I could predict the future, I probably wouldn’t have gotten a tattoo of my Neopet from 4th grade. How was I to know that I wouldn’t be a Neo-head forever? We all make decisions that we will eventually come to regret. That is the stuff of life. We blindly trot through our lives, often with very little consideration for what will come to pass. 

I’m all for living in the present, but it can be funny to look back on what we used to believe was true. I used to think that if you swallowed a watermelon seed, you would grow a watermelon in your stomach. Now I know better, and it’s hilarious to remember that naive version of myself. Hindsight is, after all, 20/20. Luckily I’m not alone in this, and there are plenty of folks out there who are as naive as I. Enjoy some of the best ones.
