Like a good neighbor, Star Wars is there. It’s always there for you whenever you need it. It’s not going anywhere. That’s the wonderful thing about a franchise. Even though you might not always agree with the direction its current overseers are going in, the old stuff isn’t going away or changing. It’s still there for you to consume and enjoy, and take your mind off the atrocities that Disney has committed against our favorite sci-fi movies. You can’t change the past. Yes, even the prequels that we might feel like we want to forget about will still be there forever, in all their glory. 

This is what makes a comfort watch a comfort watch. We know it’s going to be the same every time, no matter what changes in our lives. We can always come back to it when we need a nice little dose of space adventure.
