Great memes can only come from great movies. Well, I don’t know if that’s actually true. Some pretty good memes have come out of some pretty bad movies. Like The Room for instance. That move is so bad that it every moment in it became a meme. Or take for instance the terrible movie Madame Webb, some great memes came out of that, like «He was in the Amazon with my mom when she was researching spiders right before she…» Or how could we forget, the Star Wars prequels? There are more «sand» jokes out there than you or I could ever count. 

But memes get better when they’re about good material. You’re already invested in the story, so a meme about it is going to hit a little bit harder. The stakes are higher, and you have more commitment to the fandom if you think that something is good. Enter non-prequel Star Wars memes.
