I would not thrive as a vampire because I love being outside, eating, and not being pale. But I understand the appeal, especially when compared with other Halloween monsters like werewolves and mummies. 

It would be pretty disruptive to your life to be a werewolf. Professor Lupin in Harry Potter could barely hold down a job, and when he did, he had to call out sick constantly because he struggled with his health when transforming back into a human. I think the biggest advantage vampires have over werewolves is that they have more self-control. When you’re a werewolf, you can literally do anything to anyone without even really processing the harm that you’re causing. In a lot of vampire media, like Twilight and The Vampire Diaries, vampires can avoid the unsightly elements of vampirism by feeding on animals instead of humans. I guess if you’re one of the 12 people on Earth who are Team Jacob, you might opt to be a werewolf if you had to choose between the two. I assume that if you’re on this vampire meme list, you’re a sane Team Edward person.
