Letting a relative or a friend stay with you is an incredibly nice thing to do. It can be a pretty big imposition, even if they’re a good guest. If you’re not used to sharing the space with someone, you might take a while to adjust to this new reality. You might be used to privacy whenever you want it. You might not get this if you’re suddenly living with someone. It’s much worse when the guests don’t quite know how to be good guests. 

Maybe they’re constantly using the kitchen without cleaning up. Maybe they’re not conscious of the noise they make. Maybe they invite guests over without your permission. This is the type of behavior that could really drive you up the wall. When this happens, resentment can grow and build and simmer over time. In these situations, you have to let the valve loose before you blow up and regret something.
