Is there a preferred season avid book readers enjoy the most?
If you ask me, there are pros and cons to reading during any of the four seasons. At the moment, most people feel like they have had enough of the heat of summer and everything that comes with it, but there are quite a few things that make reading in summer fun. Who doesn’t love going on vacation and choosing a book to bring along with you? What better way is there to relax than to read a good book by the pool, with a nice drink by your side and the warm sun shining up above?
However, we all know that even though reading in summer can be fun, that fun doesn’t last long. Eventually, the heat from the sun becomes too much to bear, and going into the pool with your book to cool down is not really an option. Not to mention, your book is always at risk of getting wet from the constant splashes from the kids running and playing around. At some point, you just wish you could go back to your bed and simply read from there.
Speaking of your bed, there is no better season to get cosy and pull up a good book in bed than winter. Winter is a season in which you never feel guilty of not leaving your bedroom for a whole weekend. It’s cold out, so obviously the best way to use your free time is with a bed, a good book, a hot cup of tea, and possibly a cat or dog snuggling beside you. Nothing beats the coziness you get from that activity.
Since summer is slowly approaching its end, the excitement for that cozy feeling to return is growing. While winter is still a few months ahead, fall is just around the corner, and even though it might not be as cold, it can still be a great season to get through your TBR list while enjoying a nice pumpkin-spiced latte in your bed.
