Would you break up with someone over a tattoo?

Tattoos are intimate things. They’re on our bodies forever, so they’re the biggest commitment most of us make in our lifetimes. Even if you regret them, there they stay. It’s expensive and not always effective to get laser removal, so most people just stick with it. But usually if you got it, you have some reason to stand by it. You like the way it looks, or the way it makes you feel. You felt a connection to the subject matter, or you wanted this particular artist’s work on your body. It means something to you, and you love it. But that doesn’t mean that everyone is going to feel the same way. Each of us have very different tastes, and that will likely extend to the ink on our bodies. But other people’s tattoos are none of our business, right? What if we have to look at it every time we’re with our partner?
