Even though it is seemingly much easier for parents to split their inheritance evenly between all of their kids, we often forget that the inheritance is parents’ last possible chance to repay and say thank you to their kids. While the parents are those who raise the kids and ensure they are ready to face the struggles of real life, they cannot forget that their kids are there for their final moments as well. Those who show up and take care of their parents in old age prove that they have not forgotten about all the hard work their parents have put into them, and they are more than willing to repay them for it by doing the exact same.

That is why, while it makes sense that parents would split the inheritance between their kids, some parents decide to go for a different approach. They want to show their appreciation for the kids who took care of them the most, the kids who truly showed their worth.
