Dogs have seemingly boundless energy. If only we could safely and sustainably harvest it as a new form of green energy. My dog can go on a walk around the entire neighborhood and still have energy to play in the back yard all afternoon. They’re like endlessly spinning wheels of pep. That is, until they crash. A sleeping dog does not like to be interrupted, much like a sleeping person. If you decide that you want them to wake up so they can play with you, you might be rewarded with a paw in the face. 

Once they’re out, they’re out. Until they wake up at the crack of dawn to howl until you let them outside. Dogs don’t like being on human schedules. They abide by their own sense of time. A day is a lifetime, and anything is possible within it. It’s why they’re so excited when you come home, they think you’ve been gone for days.
