Dogs just instantly make life better. You know this if you’ve ever been at a low moment (and who among us hasn’t?) You could be feeling down in the dumps and just one lick from a beloved dog can bring you back to life. I don’t know if they know they have that power, but they should. They should be rewarded for all the wonderful things they do for us. And they are. They are treated to a life of luxury. They never have to punch the clock and yet they are fed and housed. 

They get taken on walks around the neighborhood where they get to smell all kinds of new smells. They even get treats when they’re being especially wonderful. It’s one of nature’s most beautiful symbiotic relationships. They give to us and we give to them, just like those fish that eat the barnacles on the whales. Except like way, way cuter.
