I am of the belief that it is important to be selfish on some level. I’m obsessed with this RuPaul quote about this very matter. 

«If you’re not going to be selfish, what are you going to be? Somebody el-fish?» 

As corny and goofy as that quotation is, it is so real. We all feel this urge to be self-sacrificial sometimes, and that’s not always a horrible thing. But it’s so important to look at and take care of the woman in the mirror first before anyone else. If you continue to self-sacrifice for others again and again and again, you’re going to be run ragged before you know it. Besides, being selfish doesn’t always mean you’re neglecting the needs of others. Sometimes it’s just about prioritizing yourself. It’s so important to eat right, go to the gym, clean your house, work hard, and have fun for the sake of just taking care of you, and if these hilarious memes are part of that, then I’ve done my job.
