If your house is full of random little cards and pieces of candy right now, odds are you’re probably a parent. Yes, we’re feeling the sugar hangover of post-Valentine’s Day, and finding cards with empty written messages in them at the top of our recycling bins. But it was a beautiful day. You got to celebrate love in all forms, and if you’re lucky, maybe your kid wrote a sweet note for you and told you how you’re the best parent in the whole world. 

But even if they didn’t, I hope you feel at least a little appreciated today. You deserve it, after all, through all the late nights and toddler meals and taking moments to yourself in the bathroom. You deserve a little extra love. And if not that, then a little extra chocolate. Not that you can’t have that on other days of the year, but today it’s on clearance.
