If I had to choose a favorite piece of science fiction, it would have to be Ridley Scott’s Alien. As a big fan of both horror and sci-fi, no movie comes close to marrying the two genres so perfectly. These days, it’s rare to see a restrained, slow-burning horror movie that is brave enough to only give the audience information essential to the core plot. The fact that you only really see fleeting details of the xenomorph throughout the film makes its lurking presence that much more horrifying. What’s your favorite sci-fi masterpiece?
