Ah, the rain. There’s nothing like staring out the window on a rainy day and feeling like you’re in your own personal music video. It’s perfect for feeling moody and melancholy, some of my favorite m-words to feel. Rainy weather can make you feel better about staying in, getting cozy, having a cup of tea, and forgetting about everyone else. There’s no FOMO about going out. There’s just pure, unadulterated chill. That is, until you have somewhere you have to go, then it can sour your mood as quickly as it came. Getting wet when you didn’t intend to (especially if you’re wearing jeans) can spell disaster for a good day. But if you lean into it and wear your extra-long raincoat, it can be transcendent.

There’s nothing like a good meme list to keep you company as the sky darkens and the pavement dampens. Just remember to take your umbrella!
