There’s a false dichotomy between cat people and dog people. We’ve made up these arbitrary rules to describe two categories of people who are often the same person. How many people have you met? Who are dog people who absolutely hate cats? Okay, maybe a few, but the vast majority of them probably enjoy cats too. And how many cat people have you met that can’t stand to be around a dog? Probably not many. We have more in common with each other than we do differences. 

Being an animal lover is what is at the core of it. Animal lovers all share a heart. We all know what it’s like to make sacrifices for the little furry creatures that we love. We let them wake us up early and keep us up late at night. We spend our hard-earned paychecks buying them food and toys. We use our free time to play with them, talk to them, and clean up after them. But we wouldn’t have it any other way, because they’re part of the family.
