Becoming the proud owner of a dog can be an incredible experience. It can also be one of the most frustrating. The day you take in a puppy is great. You get to name the dog, play with it, and it still has that new puppy appeal. Give it maybe five days and you’ll understand why people train dogs as a profession. It’s not easy. Proper potty training is a disgusting process, your puppy will refuse to leave you alone, and the sheer amount of energy that a puppy has is astonishingly high. The thing is, it’s as gratifying as it is annoying. Adopting a puppy is a real handful, but you’re also committing to that when you take the dog in the first place. Once the training is over, you’re left with an amazing best friend who is mostly well-behaved.
