Tweets are a dime a dozen. But good tweets are one in a million.
It can be hard to fully wrap your mind around how much content is on the Internet. There’s literally an infinite amount. As you’re reading this, millions of posts are being generated. Post that you will probably never see. And that’s for the best. We are already often overwhelmed by the amount of information we are given in a day. And that’s just the happenstance of being a person right now. And if you’re someone who regularly scrolls the Internet, then you’re pumping in a lot more information than anybody in previous generations could fathom. Think about your own digital footprint. You probably have posts and pictures spanning back years, a scrapbook of Internet memories that could fill a dozen books. And you’re just one person. Think about that multiplied by everybody in the universe, plus everything else. It can fully boggle the mind in a way that can make it very uncomfortable to live. But there’s a difference between good content and bad content. There’s more than our fair share of slop out there.
