A good tweet is like a good friend.
When something happens in the world, there are a few places you go. Maybe you have people in your life that you turn to for their opinions, takes, and reactions to things. Or maybe you go to Twitter. Or maybe you do both. Humans have a natural need to process things that come across. When something goes down, we want to talk about it with other people. We want to hear the opinions of others, and we want to ask questions and make jokes and think about how all things are going to go. It’s a natural human instinct, and it’s a nice one to indulge every now and again. It’s not even something you need to do in moderation. Connecting with other people is always a good thing, no matter what it is. When a piece of news happens in the world, Twitter can be a wonderful place to see all the reactions. When some big news item or a new Taylor Swift song (also a big news item) comes up, Twitter’s the first place I run to. I want to see all the jokes and all the texts and all the opinions that I can. Not because I need them to tell me what to think, but because it’s a natural human instinct to want to know what others think about something.
