So many people incorrectly assume that they are inherently more athletic than others because of their age, size, and gender. How many dudes think that they could beat Napheesa Collier, Breanna Stewart, A’Ja Wilson, or Caitlin Clark in a 1X1 basketball game just because they’re women? It’s totally ridiculous to think that you are more qualified at a sport than people who constantly train for it because you think you’re biologically predetermined to be better at it. While biology is certainly a factor in athletic performance, a 6’5 dude who has never picked up a basketball won’t be as good a basketball player as the 5’11 guy who trains for 3 hours a day. He might be if he started training 3 hours a day, but until you actually put in the work to thrive in a sport, you won’t be able to dominate someone who has put in years of training.
