38-year-old 5’4 single dude complains about seeing women in their 30s and 40s on dating apps who want to settle down and have kids: ‘It’s painfully hilarious. And quite sad.’

It baffles me that people are so doom-and-gloom about people getting married and having kids in their 30s. Sure, if you want to have 10 kids, you’re probably not going to be able to accomplish that if you have your first baby at 35. However, most people want 2.5 kids, so it’s not unreasonable for a couple to meet when they’re 33, get married at 35, have their first child at 37, and their second child at 39. Heck, that’s basically the timeline my parents had for my sister and me, and we turned out great!

I think that if you’re a 37-year-old single man who hasn’t been married and is looking to settle down, you can’t knock women who are in the exact same position as you. It’s hard enough to find a partner when you’re the youngest, hottest person around. Even if you don’t want to date someone your age, you shouldn’t knock them for trying.
