40 of the Freshest and Funniest Tweets of the Week (October 18, 2026)

The internet is a vast place. Sometimes you have to sift through a lot in order to find the good stuff.

Have you ever heard of something called decision paralysis? It’s the idea that when you’re presented with a plethora of choices, you’re less likely to be able to find a good answer. In a study about decision paralysis, 68% of participants said that «decision paralysis significantly affected their work performance.» I know this is true for me. When I go to a restaurant, and there are 1 million things on the menu, it only makes me feel less sure about my choice. I have a hard time deciding whether to get the chopped salad or the Caesar salad, and what to get on the side. When it finally comes out, all I can think about is if it would’ve been better had I chosen a different option. But when a restaurant only has a couple of things on the menu, I feel like I have been set free. I know that I can’t make the wrong decision, because there are only so many choices to be made. When things are too open for decisions, it makes me want to shut down. So much of the Internet is wrought with this phenomenon.

The Internet is a seemingly infinite place. It contains so much of everything all the time. Anything you could possibly think of is contained within its depths, and it’s constantly growing. There are so many decisions you have to make when you’re using the Internet. Even when you’re just scrolling through social media, all of the choices you can make in life seem to sprout before you. Are you a person who meal preps? Are you a person who goes on hot girl walks? Are you a person who thinks about the environment? Are you a person who posts outfit of the day content? These are all the questions that social media content can inspire us to spiral over. When there are so many ways of life and so many options for content, things can get a little bit muddy. It’s easy to lose track of the things that are actually good. The stuff that is worth viewing sometimes gets drowned out by all of the noise on the Internet. There is so much noise that it is sometimes hard to wrap your head around. That’s why we come here for the tweets list.
