5-Year-Old Ruins Dress at Child’s Paint Party, Mom Demands Child’s Parent Pay $ To Replace It

Kids are famously unpredictable. It’s not anyone’s fault, but it can cause a ripple effect.

Kids are gonna be kids, and that sometimes means that paint is going to get all over the place. It just seems like one of those laws of nature. If there is a mess to be made, a mess will happen. Anyone who has ever taken care of kids knows this to be true. They’re agents of chaos, and you have to be prepared for that. This is why expensive, easily-ruinable clothing for kids is probably a bad idea. Unless you’re going to watch them like a hawk while they’re wearing it, you should probably assume that it’s going to get stained or damaged. Even in the best-case scenario, they’re probably going to grow out of it in a matter of months. So the money is probably better spent elsewhere. But I get it, kids are cute, and you want to put them in cute clothes. You don’t want those clothes to be ruined, even if you have a good guess that they might be by the end of the night. But sending them to a paint party in nice new duds? That’s not the greatest of ideas.
