Tech contractor suggests unemployed people apply to 10 jobs per day, gets roasted for unrealistic expectations: ‘Who is finding 70 new job postings in their field every week?’

I’ve only been on one real adult job hunt, and I was a lucky duck. I was able to get a full-time job after only two months of applying and interviewing, and I only had to send in around 100 applications. Whether it was beginner’s luck, a good economy, or I’m just so great, I gladly reaped the benefits of a quick and easy job search.

Not everybody is so fortunate. I’ve heard of people applying and failing to get jobs for whole months and years. They apply to hundreds of jobs over months and months and can’t seem to catch a break. There’s endless advice online from the employed about how to get one of these elusive jobs, but not all job-hunting advice is created equally. Some successful and otherwise smart people want the unemployed class to throw spaghetti to every wall in their vicinity and see if it sticks, and Symoné B. Beez is one of those people.
